Srinagar: As part of its ‘Feed a Family’ initiative started last year, owing to the current Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar Thursday enhanced the distribution of Family Food kits to at least 500 families, hit by the lockdown.
Darul Khair, in a statement, said as is the practice, the Family Food Kits will be handed over to the representatives of local masjid committees. They, after identifying the needy people in their respective areas, will deliver the kits to them.
The organisation, under the patronage of incarcerated Mirwaiz Mohammed Umar Farooq, active in carrying out humanitarian and relief & aid work across Kashmir, reiterated its appeal to affluent and well-off persons to continue supporting Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil so that the Organization can continue its humanitarian work with zeal and vigour, especially during the raging pandemic.
