Srinagar- A woman died while her husband and son sustained injuries after a cab they were travelling in met with an accident in Thanamandi area in Rajouri district on Thursday morning.
A Santro Car (JK02AD- 1786) on way from Mangota to Thanamandi met with an accident near Shahdara Morh Gazzali Market in Thanamandi, resulting in instant death of an on-board traveller identified as Shamim Akhter (30). In the incident, husband of the deceased woman Makhan Shah (35) son of Ghulam Rasool Shah and her 6-year-old son Makhtoom Shah also sustained injuries, reported news agency GNS.
The injured father-son duo was immediately evacuated to Primary Health Centre Thanamandi, where their condition is said to be stable – on filing of this report.
Meanwhile a police official confirming the incident said that a case is underway in this regard for further investigations.
