SRINAGAR: The state cabinet is scheduled to meet under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at civil secretariat here on Wednesday. The meeting will take place at 4: 30 p.m.
A minister in the cabinet confirmed that the agenda besides is likely to include some transfers in the police department. The minister said that there is directive form the election commission of India not to transfer deputy commissioners as they are busy with finalizing electoral rolls in their respective districts.
Dr Salim Wani bereaved
Srinagar: Jamshed Ahmed Wani brother of noted Urologist Dr Muhammad Salim Wani, Dr Ishaq Wani and Prof Manzoor Wani passed away last evening. The mourning is being held at their Dana Mazaar Safa Kadal residence here.
People from all walks of life visited the bereaved family to express their condolences. Jamshed aka Baba, son of Abdul Gani Wani was a spiritual man, who had devoted his life in the way of Almighty. His Fateha will be held on Friday at 2:30 p.m at familys ancestral graveyard near Waniyaar, Safa Kadal followed by a condolence meeting at their residence.
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, chairman Hurriyat Conference (M) and CPI (M) State Secretary Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami have expressed heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family. KNS Management and Editorial board expresses deep condolences and conveys solidarity with the bereaved family.
