Srinagar: Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Saturday condemned the police action against its party Chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik. Malik, along with dozens of other activists was arrested by police on Monday and was later shifted to central jail in Srinagar.
According to a statement issued here, a JKLF spokesman said that several party leaders including advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, Mushtaq Ajmal, Nisar Jeelani, Molvi Abdul Rashid and Nazir Hajam who were lodged in Batamaloo police station were presented before a court. However, the court sent them for a judicial remand and shifted them to central jail Srinagar.
JKLF Chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri , Mohammad Sideeq Shah, Mohammad Rafiq War, Mushtaq Ahmad, Abdul Majid, Sanaullah, Mohammad Haneef Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmad and Mohammad Hussian are already in central jail Srinagar while as Javed Ahmad Butt, Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, Fayaz Ahmad Khan and Mohammad Altaf are in Islamabad jail, the spokesman said.
