SRINAGAR: Setting speculations at rest, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party Tuesday announced first list of candidates for upcoming assembly election. In a statement, the party spokesperson said that the party on Saturday had approved 25 candidates for the assembly elections.
Abdul Haq Khan will be the party candidate from Lolab, Ghulam Nabi Panditpuri (Langete), Syed Basharat Bukhari (Sangrama), Mohammad Yasir Reshi (Sonawari), Molvi Imran Raza Ansari (Zadibal), Mohammad Ashraf Mir (Sonawar), Javid Mustafa Mir (Chadoora), Mushtaq Ahmad Shah (Tral), Zahoor Ahmad Mir (Pampore), Abdul Majeed Padder (Noorabad), Nazir Ahmad Laway (Kulgam), Peer Mansoor Hussain (Shangus), Rafi Ahmad Mir (Pahalgam) Dr Abdul Majeed (Inderwal) Mehboob Iqbal (Badherwah), Swami Raj Bhagat (Ramban) Bashir Ahmad Rouniyal (Banihal), Imtiyaz Hussain Shan (Gool Arnas), Sukh Dev (Udhampur), Hans Raj (Chenani), Bharat Mahajan (Jammu East) Bushan Dogra (R.S.Pora) S.Trilok Singh Bajwa (Suchet Garh) Choudhary Zulfikar Ali (Darhal) and Syed Assad Hussain Shah Bari would contest Assembly election from Kala Kote.
