SRINAGAR: Minister for Finance, A.R. Rather Friday said that Government has proposed to create more posts of Accounts Officers in the Directorate of Finance, Directorate of Audit and Inspections and Accountancy Training Institutes in view of increased quantum of work load. The Finance Department has also taken up the matter with the concerned departments for creation of Accounts Cells in left-out departments, said the Minister.
This was revealed by the Minister during his interaction with the delegations of officers of Accounts and Treasury department and J&K Accounts Employees Union, here.
The Minister said that the matter to declare Accounts Service as feeding service for induction into KAS and IAS has already been taken up with the General Administration Department (GAD).
The delegations presented charter of demands to the Minister and requested for addressing the issues on merit.
Among Others, Director General Accounts and Treasury Altaf Hussain Mirza was also present in the meeting.
