Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir reported three more coronavirus deaths on Wednesday while 97 fresh cases of virus, including 20 travellers were detected across the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
All the victims, officials said, were residents of Kashmir Valley and their deaths have taken the fatality count to 1968—729 in Jammu and 1239 in Kashmir. About the 97 new cases of infection, they said Kashmir Valley reported 81 while 16 fresh cases were detected in Jammu division, taking the total case tally to 127288.
Giving district wise details, the officials said, Srinagar reported 46, Baramulla 16, Budgam 6, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 1, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 2, Shopian 1, Jammu 12 and Doda, Kathua Kishtwar and Poonch one each new case of coronavirus.
Moreover, they said, 54 more patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals—seven from Jammu Division and 47 from Kashmir Valley.
