Srinagar: As the educational intuitions are set to reopen from March 01, the School Education Department on Wednesday ordered closure of all the winter tutorial camps in Kashmir for 8th to 12th standard students.
In an order issued by the Joint Director (Central) at Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) all Chief Education Officers (CEOs) have been directed to conclude the winter tutorial camps being functional from January-12-2021 with immediate effect from February 25.
The order further stated that the concerned CEOs shall immediately disengage all those teachers that were engaged to teach the students in the winter tutorial camps.
Earlier in December last year, the School Education Department had announced winter vacations for all schools of Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu region from December 21 till February 28.
Meanwhile, the School Education Department earlier this month had said that there were nearly 1500 government schools wherein it had started winter tutorials for the students during the winter vacation period.
On February 22, the government rescheduled the date for reopening of schools of Jammu and Kashmir up to elementary classes wherein the students have been asked to join the physical academic activities from March-08 instead of March-01.
