Srinagar- Police on Thursday arrested a person for making fake identity cards in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement, the police said that on a specific information regarding printing/Designing of fake identity cards of different departments.
One person namely Javeed Ahmad Malik son Assadullah Malik resident of Barzullah Dhobhiwan Kunzer at his photostat shop by the name of “Speed Print“ located at Barzullah stop Dhobhiwan.
According to statement, the said shop was raided and a computer monitor, printer and CPU were seized .The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused has issued the I-cards to different persons with different names ,other than their original names .Thus promoting impersonation by fraud and cheating.
Moreover scanned seal/stamps were also found in the CPU and might have been misused .Case FIR No.09/21 under section 420/467 IPC of has been registered and investigations started. The accused has been arrested in the instant case, reads the statement.
