Srinagar – Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been invited to attend the OIC contact group meeting of Foreign Ministers on Jammu & Kashmir to be held during the 67th session of the UN general assembly at the UN headquarters in New York.
The OIC contact group on Kashmir comprises foreign ministers of Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Niger. The OIC Secretary General Akmeldin Ihsanoglu will chair the session.
Hurriyat Conference has an observer status in the OIC. Mirwaiz will address the contact group on Kashmir on the September 26 and will also address the annual coordination meeting of the foreign ministers of OIC on the September 28 at the UN.
President of Pakistan administrated Kashmir Sardar Yaqoob Khan will also be a part of the Kashmir delegation to the UN.
