SRINAGAR: Kashmir Sozni Embroidery workers Monday alleged that District Industries Centre (DIC) Kashmir is registering non-state subjects permanently under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and is allowing them carry out their business activities in Valley.
The workers said that due to the rampant registration of non-state subjects by DIC has put their business in risk which they are professing from decades.
How can DIC register these non-state subjects when they are not the citizens of Kashmir and are lacking even ration cards. On the one hand government is claiming of protecting the every provision of Article 370 while on the other, the principles and provisions of the same article which gives Kashmir a special status are being violated, one of the Sozni workers Mukhtar Ahmed Mir said adding that the workers fail to understand why and how these non-state subjects get registration on urgent basis.
When contacted, DIC General Manager Muneeb-ul-Hassan said that they are not violating Article 370 at all. It is a practice to register non-locals and allow them to carry out their business activities and same we did, he said.
