Srinagar: The North Kashmir on Wednesday witnessed a total of 39.6 percent polling. District Kupwara recorded 63.19 per cent, Baramulla 25.4 percent and , Bandipore 35.5 per cent.
Addressing a press conference, Chief Electoral Officer, J&K, Umang Narula, the Karnah constituency in district Kupwara witness 71.57 per cent, Kupwara constituency recorded 69.29 per cent, Lolab 57.37 per cent, Handwara 59.92 per cent, Langate 47.84 per cen. In district Baramulla Uri constituency witnessed 65.42 per cent, Rafiabad recorded 21.83 per cent, with 1.2 per cent polling, Sopore saw the lowest poll percentage in North Kashmir, Sangrama 18.7 per cent, Baramulla 23.46 per cent, Gulmarag 29.50 per cent and Pattan 23. 65 per cent. In district Bandipore, Gurez constituency witnessed 48.28 per cent, Bandipore 20.50 per cent and Sonawari 49.11 per cent.
According to Narula Ladakh has witnessed 65 per cent polling till the last reports came in. Divisional commissioner Shalinder Kumar, IGP Kashmir A G Mir, director information Tasaduq Jeelani were present on the occasion.
