Srinagar: A woman pillion rider was killed on the spot when an SMC truck hit a motorcycle at Solina Srinagar Monday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said that a garbage lifting truck of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (JK01S-0137) hit a biker coming from wrong side near Solina that resulted in the on the spot death of 45 year old woman Aisha Begum wife of Abdul Rehman Malik resident of Haripora Haran Budgam.
Police seized the SMC vehicle and arrested the driver. We have registered a case in this regard and investigation is going on, a police official said.
