SRINAGAR: Taking strong exception to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullahs criticism of Narendera Modi, BJP national executive member and former president of state unit Shamsher Singh says that Modi will visit Kashmir and National Conference and Congress were hitting left, right and the centre just to conceal their misgovernance and corruption.
You will see Mr Modi visiting Kashmir Valley very soon. He has to take care of the entire country and is facing paucity of time. Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah could not lead the state towards progress. They have failed in every respect especially development, the BJP senior leader said in an interview.
He accused Dr Farooq Abdullah of failing to prevent Pandits from migrating to Jammu in 1990s. Dr Farooq should show his contribution in preventing that migration. No doubt we supported Pandits when they migrated to Jammu but only on humanitarian grounds, Singh said.
When asked about any soft chemistry between BJP-PDP as is alleged by NC and the Congress, the former BJP state president said: We have no relation with the PDP and it is just to avoid attention of public and in order to conceal their failures that NC-Congress making such remarks.
Meanwhile National Spokesperson for BJP, Prakash Javedkar told CNS that Farooq Abdullah doesnt know what he is speaking and what he wanted to convey. He has done nothing for the people of Jammu and Kashmir ever since he became the Union Minister. Before the elections, he never bothered to visit his Constituency and now he is trying to befool people by attacking Narendra Modi who is going to be the next Prime Minister of India, he said adding that people are wise enough to different between good and bad and they know it well that in the victory of Modi lies their victory.
He further said that the performance of Farooq Abdullah as MP is dismal and his report card about progress and development is zero.
