Srinagar: While appreciating Kashmir Society and, All J&K Panchayat Conferences endeavors to pursuit Panchs and Sarpanchs of JK State to maintain their non-political character, thousands of Panchs and Sarpanchs have decided to follow this advice in letter and spirit.
According to a statement they have decided not to share dais with any political party in the state during election, so that their non-political character remains intact. Since all Panchs and Sarpanch elections were held on non-political basis on non party line as per the constitution and Panchayat Act, only to execute development works in rural areas. Therefore it becomes necessary that its constitutional character on the basis of which they have been elected no Panchs and Sarpanch should be seen to associate him or herself with any party by violating its original character.
Even some believe that their association with any political party can be treated as violation of code of conduct as they are symbols of rural development in their respective areas and never have been mandated by their people to join or associate themselves with any political party. This is the best way to honor constitution and law of land, various Panchs and Sarpanchs expressed these views during their interaction.
