IUST Awantipora – The Directorate of Physical Education and Sports Islamic University of Science and Technology conducted selection trials for consecutive three days.
Almost 30 players from different departments took part in the trials. The final team has been selected for participation in the forth coming North Zone Inter-University football championship scheduled to be held at Lovely Professional University, Jhalandar, a spokesman said.
He said that this was for the third time when IUST was participating at Inter-University level after the players showed good performance. The selected team is as Aauqib Shafi (Captain), Salman Irshad (Vice Captain), Sualiheen Ahmad, Ahmar Farooq, Naseer Manzoor, Aabid Maqbool, Mohd. Asif Shah, Ubaid Kirmani, Nadeem Tariq Beigh, Sajid Kirmani, Irshad Ahmad Rather, Mohd Ummar, Haris Rafiq, Sheikh Irfan, Mujtaba Rashid, Abdul Majid.
