SRINAGAR: Expressing grief over the abduction and killing of a young Kashmiri doctor, Irfan Ali in Libya, Hurriyat Conference leader Shabir Ahmad Shah today expressed his seep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family.
Commenting on the threats faced by Kashmiri youth outside state, Shah said it was unfortunate that Kashmiri youth were being murdered outside state under various pretexts. He said whole Kashmiri nation was grieved over the demise of Dr. Irfan Ali. Ali belonged to Shalimar area of the city. He was killed a day after his abduction by terrorists in Adra, Libya where he was serving in a local hospital.
Shah also expressed condolences to the family of Muhajar Ghulam Hassan alias Hassan Al Banna of Lasjan over the demise of his mother.
A delegation led by Shabir Ahmad Shah visited both Shalimar and Lasjan.
The delegation accompanying Shah included Muhammad Abdullah Tari, Mushtaqul Islam, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Wajhat Qureshi, Molvi Bashir Ahmad, Muhammad Yasin Ataai and Altaf Raja.
