Srinagar- A civilian who was critically injured during the initial stage of the encounter in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening, succumbed to his injuries on Friday morning, officials said.
They said that the civilian namely Abid Ahmad Mir ( 22 year old) son of Abdul Hamid resident of Meej Pampore succumbed to his injuries this morning at SMHS hospital.
The other civilian namely Kifayat Ahmad, who was also injured at the encounter site, is undergoing treatment at Bone and Joints hospital Srinagar and is stable.
Two civilians were injured during the initial exchange of firing at the encounter site.
Pertinently, two militants were killed while another surrendered during the encounter that lasted for 18 hours.
