Srinagar: A ten-day ski course for girls organized by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports University of Kashmir which started on March 01 concluded successfully at Gulmarg.
Around 20 students from various colleges and PG departments of the University participated in the ten-day course which is being supervised by Assistant Director Directorate of Physical Education and Sports KU Dr Basharat Ali, Hilal Ahmed and Ms Surjeet Kour.
During the ten-day course ski instructor from the Dept of Youth Services and Sports Srinagar imparted the training to the students with full dedication.
According to the organizers of the skiing course the program was conducted to hone the skills of the girl skiers and provide them an opportunity to undergo such training programs which will help them to showcase their talent at various sporting events.
At the end of the course competition was held amongst the trainees of different colleges and departments of University in Salomon and technique.
In SALOMON Qurat-ul-ain from Degree College Beerwah bagged the first position whereas Syed Numaira Qazi from Dept of Commerce KU secured second and Mehjabeen from M.Ped of KU secured third position respectively.
In TECHNIQUE Rizwana from Womens College MA road secured first, Syed Numaira Qazi from Dept of Commerce KU secured second and Azra from Womens College Nawakadal secured third position.
