Srinagar: The residents of Barbar Shah locality of this capital city on Monday urged telecom giant Jio to install optical fibre cables and provide internet services in the area for the convenience of the students and businessmen.
The locals said Monday that the students and business class were facing a tough time due to non-availability of high speed internet services in Kashmir. With exams round the corner, they said a high speed internet services will bring a much sought relief to the students.
“It will also help the businessmen to carry out their activities smoothly. High speed internet is the need for everyone in the locality, especially students and traders,” Irfan Mushtaq, a local said.
Ifshan Manzoor, another local urged the authorities at the Jio telecommunications to heed to the request of the locals and install and provide internet facilities to them.
“We hope the concerned administration will look into the matter without any further delay,” Manzoor added.
