SRINAGAR: The state authorities on Wednesday decided to extend the vacations for four more days due to the massive snowfall that affected life in valley at large from the last two days .
According to the reports, the prevailing bad weather conditions in valley has made authorities to extend the vacations for four more day, said the official spokesman at Directorate of School Education Kashmir.
Pertinently, office of the Divisional commissioner Kashmir, Tuesday ordered the closure of all the educational institutes in valley including higher classes till March 12. The reports had maintained further that the future decision pertaining to the matter will be decided as per the weather conditions. “Whether the vacations will be extended or not will be decided accordingly to the weather conditions and if weather improves there won’t be any need to extend the vacations further.”
The official spokesman Wednesday stated that due to the heavy snowfall across Kashmir valley particularly in the higher reaches wherein the road transport has affected- the directorate has ordered that the vacations be extended for four more days and that the schools shall reopen on March 17.
