SRINAGAR: Syed Ali Geelani is leaving for New Delhi on March 13 (Thursday) at 12 oclock for further treatment and to undergo some important investigations.
Hurriyat (G), issued a statement tonight saying prior appointments with doctors in New Delhi have been sought after telephonic consultations with them. It said the rumors being spread about the pro-freedom leader are baseless; even thought for last few days since his return from New Delhi he has been suffering from respiratory infection, but his condition has improved.
Although Dr. Naveed a chest diseases specialist and renowned gastroenterologist Dr. M. S. Khuroo were treating the pro-freedom leader satisfactorily, but on their advice for undergoing certain investigations and due to sudden change in weather it has become inevitable to take Geelani sahib to Delhi, the statement reads.
Separatist leader is under the treatment of Dr Sarabhai and Dr. Sameer Koul in New Delhi.
Meanwhile Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that Hurriyat was investigating as how Wikipedia and New Delhi based news channel carried out baseless news about the demise of pro-freedom leader.
