Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Tuesday ordered a detailed survey of all Auqaf properties in the Jammu division.
According to an official spokesperson, Divisional Commissioner, Sanjeev Verma in a virtual meeting on Tuesday asked the Deputy Commissioners of Jammu province to conduct a detailed survey of all Auqaf properties and submit the list of the assets within their respective districts.
The DCs, he said were asked to provide the detail of the assets in a prescribed format being provided to them. The Deputy Commissioners attended the meeting through a Video Conference.
“The meeting discussed in detail the procedure to be adopted for the exercise and the DCs were asked to include attestation of mutations, encroachments, recovery of arrears, acquisition and possession of Specific Auqaf properties in the survey report,” the official spokesperson said.
“While instructing the DCs to identify and remove unauthorized construction/ encroachments of any nature, the Div Com said illegal structures built on the state land by way of encroachment should be removed expeditiously,” he added.
Meanwhile, Verma also sought feedback from on B2V3 program from the DCs, the Official spokesperson said.
“The Div Com said that Back to Village programme is devised to enable, strengthen and foster the pace of rural development. He asked the DCs to persuade the people to come forward and avail benefits of welfare schemes of the government to improve their socioeconomic condition,” the official spokesperson said.
