Srinagar Sept 23: Hundred and twenty five research papers were read during the three day national conference on the Contemporary Issues in Business, Management and Finance organised by Department of Business and Financial Studies University Of Kashmir which concluded here on Sunday.
Congratulating the department for having organized the interaction on the contemporary issues in business, management & finance Vice chancellor Kashmir University, Prof Talat Ahmad, who presided over the valedictory event, hoped that researchers pay due attention to the preservation of ecology and environment of this region.
VC said that conference theme has already gathered great momentum not only in India but across the globe as well and hoped the the 3 day event must have provided a much required insight through the research papers on the underlying theme contributed by a galaxy of scholars, industrialists, and administrators.
Saying that the present age is going through politico economic turbulence Tafazul Hussain Executive President of the J&K Bank , who was the chief guest on the occasion , added that We will be seriously watching the recommendations of the conference and my organisation would like to benefit from research papers which focussed on banking. Tafazul especially referred to the social responsibility role of the J&K Bank and said the bank was successfully treading the path of what he termed as Peoples Perception of the Bank and added in future an independent agency will carry out a survey and let the bank know about its strengths and weaknesses with regard to this perception.
In his address Dean academic affairs Prof A M Shah said that over the years the Department of Business and Financial Studies has made a mark as a premier research centre in the state.
