JAMMU: Governor N N Vohra Thursday said that he has raised the issue of Pathribal closure with the the concerned authorities and would follow-up with both the State and Union Government.
The governor was interacting with a delegation of Pathribal residents led by Peoples Democratic Party legislator Peerzada Mansoor Hussain.
Vohras remarks came after the delegation sought his intervention in securing justice to the families of the Pathribal encounter victims.
Hussain along with local Sarpanches and others people in the delegation apprised the Governor about the serious grievance of the people about Armys decision to close the case as petitioned for justice. The Governor said that he had already spoken in the matter with the concerned authorities and would follow-up with both the State and Central Government.
