Srinagar: Only one-way traffic will continue on the national highway, connecting the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country.
On Monday vehicles plied from Srinagar to Jammu, a traffic police official said, adding that no vehicle was allowed from Jammu to avoid any traffic jam or accident on the highway.
Vehicles, carrying passengers, trucks and other load carriers left Srinagar and other parts of the Kashmir valley this morning for Jammu, the winter capital of the state.
The highway will remain open for only one-way till further improvement in the weather and road condition.
