
Srinagar- Four people including three tourists and a local driver were killed while as 17 others were injured after their vehicle met with an accident near Gund Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Sunday.
Officials said that a Toyota Etios collided with a bus near Gund Kangan resulting in an accident.
In this incident four people including three tourits and a local were killed while as seventeen others were injured. The injured were evacuated to nearby hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Leshia Ashish Pari, Nikki Ashish Pari, Hetal Ashish Pari all resident of Maharashtra and Faheem Ahmad Badyari son of Nazir Ahmad Badyari resident of Soitang Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in an official statement said that, “Deeply saddened by the tragic road accident on highway near Gund, Kangan, which has claimed several lives and left many others injured. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Praying for the swift recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also expressed grief over the accident..
In a condolence message, the Lieutenant Governor said: “I am deeply saddened to learn about the loss of precious lives in a tragic road accident in Ganderbal today. My sincere condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the early recovery of the injured”.
