Srinagar- Security forces busted a sophisticated underground hideout in the Pehlipora area of Dachigam forests, but the terrorists managed to escape before the raid, triggering an ongoing search operation, a local news agency quoting a police source said here on Friday.
Reliable sources revealed that intelligence inputs hinted at terrorist movement in the upper reaches of Pehlipora, prompting a joint operation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) Srinagar and the 50 Rashtriya Rifles (RR), KDC reported.
During the operation, forces uncovered a bunker-type hideout stocked with logistics. “The terrorists had already vacated the site by the time our team arrived,” police sources said, adding that efforts were underway to track and apprehend them.
