Jammu- The Jammu and Kashmir Government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and pensioners under the 6th Pay Commission from 239% to 246% of basic pay and pension.
As per the Finance Department’s orders, the revised DA will be effective from July 1, 2024.
The order further said the arrears for the additional installment from July 2024 to February 2025 will be paid in cash in March 2025 and included in monthly salaries and pensions thereafter.
“The payment will be rounded off to the next higher rupee where applicable,” it said.
Additionally, fractions of 50 paise and above will be rounded off to the next higher rupee, while amounts below 50 paisa will be ignored.
