
Srinagar- Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, interacted with instructors from the KNVB Dutch Football Association on Wednesday and discussed football development initiatives in the region.
Satish Sharma reiterated the government’s commitment towards promoting grassroots football, women’s participation and expanding the sport in rural, tribal and border areas. He welcomed international collaborations to strengthen coach and referee education, youth exchange programs and football infrastructure in J&K.
As part of the initiative, a refresher course for coaches and referees is being conducted to enhance their skills and align with international best practices.
The Minister reaffirmed the government’s support for structured training programs and global partnerships, ensuring better opportunities for young footballers in J&K.
