Srinagar- The Inter-College Football Tournament, organised by Cluster University Srinagar in collaboration with Indian Army (31 Sub Area, Chinar Corps), concluded on Monday with Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, winning the girls’ title, and Amar Singh College clinching the boys’ title.
Sixteen teams from eight constituent colleges of Cluster University Srinagar participated in the tournament which began on November 28. Amar Singh College lifted the boys’ trophy after defeating Govt. College for Women, M. A. Road, with a 3-0 margin. In the girls category, the final match was played between ‘Team A’ and ‘Team B’ of Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road, in which the former secured the win with a thumping 8-0 margin.
The award and prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Vice Chancellor, Cluster University Srinagar, Prof. Mohammad Mobin, and General Officer Commanding (31 sub-area), Major General P. B. S. Lamba.
