Srinagar- J&K senior men’s cricket team ended their 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy with a six-wicket victory over Haryana on Thursday at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Bowling first, J&K restricted Haryana to a total of 128/4 in 20 overs. Ankit Rajesh Kumar top scored for the team with 59 (49 balls). Murugan Ashwin took two wickets for J&K.
In reply, J&K suffered early hiccups and were reduced to 28/3 at one point. However, under-fire captain Paras Dogra proved his worth with a resounding unbeaten knock of 63 (42). Lone Nasir also helped stabilise the innings, making 29 not out from 36 balls.
Paras was named player of the match for his game-winning knock.
The win meant J&K ended their Syed Mushatq Ali T20 Trophy on a high note, winning five games and losing two. The team also defeated powerhouse teams like Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
