Srinagar- Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has recorded the season’s lowest temperature again at minus 2.1 degree Celsius while Shopian in South Kashmir, was the coldest place at minus 5.5 degree Celsius.
An official of the weather department said that Srinagar recorded a low of minus 2.1 degree Celsius. Similar temperature was recorded in J&K’s summer capital on November 28.
Shopian was the coldest place in Kashmir where the mercury settled at minus 5.5 degree Celsius.
Qazigund — the gateway town to the valley in south Kashmir — recorded a low of minus 2.7 degrees Celsius.
The minimum in Pahalgam tourist resort, which also serves as one of the base camps for the annual Amarnath yatra, settled at minus 5.3 degrees Celsius
The famous ski resort Gulmarg registered a low of minus 2.5 degree Celsius, while Kupwara shivered at minus 2.3 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag in south Kashmir registered a low of minus 1.4 degree Celsius.
Pertinently, there is no forecast of any significant weather conditions till December 15 while the dry weather is expected till December 7.
