Srinagar- The J&K Gateball Union players made an impressive mark at the 10th Indian Open International Gateball Championship 2024, organised by the Indian Gateball Union, which took place at Pataudi, Haryana, from November 23 to 24.
The Union sent two teams — one men’s and one women’s — to participate in the event. Both teams delivered extraordinary performances, defeating strong opponents like Delhi and Pride Blues, Tripura and Junior Academy teams.
The Indian Gateball Union recognised the exceptional efforts of both J&K teams and, in appreciation of their performance, has announced that the next edition of the championship will be hosted in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, next year.
“We are eagerly looking forward to hosting such a prestigious international event in Kashmir,” said Sahil Ali Beigh, General Secretary of the J&K Gateball Union.
