Budgam- The team comprising DCPU, CWC, CHILDLINE along with PS Budgam jointly conducted child labor rescue operation drives in Budgam town on 14th November 2024.
The rescue operation was limited to the jurisdiction of Police station Budgam in which total number of 05 minor children ( 03 from Rajasthan and 02 from UP) were identified and produced before the District Child Welfare Committee Budgam under FORM 17 of the Juvenile Justice( care and protection of children) Act 2015.
The overall rescue operation was made under the supervision of District Child Protection Officer( DCPO) Budgam. All the identified children were kept under temporary shelter so that further they can be rehabilitated on permanent basis as per the requirements of Juvenile Justice Act 2015.
