Srinagar- Kupwara and Baramulla districts in Jammu & Kashmir have witnessed a significant rise in the completion of development projects over the last four fiscal years, according to official sources. The data indicates a remarkable surge in the pace of infrastructure development, contributing to the overall growth and betterment of these districts.
In Kupwara, a substantial increase in the number of completed projects was recorded. In FY 2020-21, 794 projects were completed. This number jumped to 2,217 projects in FY 2021-22. The trend continued with 4,061 projects completed in FY 2022-23, and as of FY 2023-24, 3,453 projects have been completed to date. The projects span across multiple sectors including infrastructure, health, education, rural development, and public utilities, aiming to enhance the quality of life for residents.
Similarly, Baramulla also experienced a significant uptick in development activities. In FY 2020-21, 543 projects were completed, followed by 2,044 projects in FY 2021-22. In FY 2022-23, 2,661 projects were completed, and in FY 2023-24, 2,593 projects have been completed to date.
