Navras Katha Collage, which has already bagged 58 national and international awards, is gathering serious momentum ahead of the film release. Ever since its trailer launch the film has sparked curiosity among fans and makers are pulling all stops to make sure it reaches a wider mass.
The team of Navras Katha Collage reached Srinagar to kick-off its Kashmir-to-Kanyakumari tour. The cast of the film visited the iconic Dal Lake and showcased the trailer to the local youth, who responded with great enthusiasm.
The youth appreciated the trailer and are now eagerly waiting for the release of the film. Such society-based dramas have always captivated the young audience. These kinds of films play a huge role in bringing the youth to theaters who have mostly banked on OTT platforms to watch movies.
With easy access to mobile phones, fans are increasingly watching films on video streaming apps. This is where such promotional tours play a key role in maintaining the importance of theaters. Not just through the OTT platforms, fans are also switching to online activities as a new means of recreation. Therefore, in order to keep the charm of theater-going alive, the team of Navras Katha Collage has designed an awareness tour for a film produced by Praveen Hingonia and SKH Patel, that has generated a pan-India appeal with social issues as its central theme.
A vanity van has been specially crafted to travel the length of the country for the film’s promotion, where the producers are personally interacting with youth and sharing the film’s nuances along the way.
Already a talk-of-the-town, Navras Katha Collage received three awards at the Chambal International Film Festival, including Best Feature Film, Supporting Actress to Revati Pillai and Supporting Actor to Swar Hingonia.
The film revolves around several social issues and atrocities against women. “ I also earnestly appeal to each and every Indian to see the film and experience the suppression, exploitation and agony of the women even in the times when the country has achieved tremendous advancements,” said Hingonia during trailer launch.
Actor-director Praveen Hingonia has essayed nine challenging roles in this film. Earlier, the legendary actor Sanjeev Kumar had played nine characters in the film Naya Din Nayi Raat. The film is also a tribute to Kamal Haasan who played ten characters in the film Dasavatharam.

The cast of this film includes Shaji Chaudhary (Pathaan), Dayanand Shetty, Revathi Pillai (Kota Factory), Sunita (Panchayat), Mahesh Sharma (Dum Laga Ke Haisha), Prachi Sinha, Amardeep Jha and his daughter Shreya (Three Idiots), Jai Shankar Tripathi, and Ishan Shankar.
Release Date
The film is produced under the banner of Swardhrupad Productions and also has Abhishek Mishra as a co-producer. Navras Katha Collage is slated for a nationwide release in theaters on 18th October 2024.
