Anantnag- Anantnag District is all set for the upcoming Assembly Elections-2024 in the first phase. As the Election Commission of India (ECI) has released the election notification for the first phase of the General Elections to the Legislative Assembly. The district, comprising 07 Assembly constituencies, is preparing for a significant electoral event.
Accordingly the District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag Dr.SF.Hamid held a comprehensive meeting with all Nodal Officers to review the district’s election preparedness. The review was aimed to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place for the upcoming General Legislative Assembly elections.
During the meeting various aspects of the election process, including the readiness of polling stations, availability of election materials, training of polling staff, status of Flying Squad Teams, Static Surveillance Teams, Media Certification and Monitoring Committees, Model Code of Conduct adherence, Expenditure Monitoring, and the functioning of the Control Room.
Nodal Officers presented updates on their respective areas, highlighting any challenges and progress made.The discussion focused on fine-tuning operational plans, addressing potential issues, and ensuring that all teams are well-coordinated.
DEO emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of transparency and efficiency throughout the election process. The review underscored the commitment of the election authorities to conduct a fair and well-organised election.
This proactive approach by the District Administration and the Nodal Officers reflects the district’s dedication to ensuring a successful electoral process, aiming to uphold democratic values and provide a seamless experience for voters.
