Srinagar- The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) celebrated the 78th Independence Day today with fervor and enthusiasm at its Headquarters in Karanagar.
Commissioner Dr. Owais Ahmed IAS hoisted the National Flag in a solemn ceremony attended by senior officers and officials of the Corporation, who gathered to honor the sacrifices of the brave martyrs of India’s freedom struggle.
In a heartfelt address, Dr. Owais paid tribute to those who fought valiantly for India’s independence, underscoring the significance of Independence Day as a reminder of the core values that define the nation—equality, freedom, liberty, justice, and human dignity. Dr.Owais reaffirmed his commitment to serve the nation and its citizens with integrity and dedication.
