Srinagar- Department of Youth Services and Sports Secretary Sarmad Hafeez on Thursday inaugurated the fourth edition of Bijbehara Premier League (BPL).
DYSS Director Subash Chander Chibber, JKSC Secretary Nuzhat Gul and international cricketer Parveez Rasool were present on the occasion among other officers.
Building on its past success, the BPL has become a major event in professional cricket, attracting both seasoned professionals and emerging talents. This year, 20 top teams from across Jammu & Kashmir will compete on the lush Nilandrusu Bijbehara ground, being maintained by the J&K Sports Council.
The tournament will be broadcast live, bringing the excitement to cricket fans everywhere. The J&K Sports Council is also engaging youth through ‘My Youth My Pride’ and Community Sports initiatives to promote sports culture in the region.
In the opening game, Hill View defeated Sultan Warriors.
