Srinagar- An inmate who was injured during a gas cylinder blast in a sub jail in North Kashmir’s Kupwara has succumbed to injuries.
An official said on 19 June, at least nine inmates were injured in the Kupwara jail explosion.
He said that all injured were shifted to hospital and among them one succumbed to injuries on Monday morning, reported news agency Kashmir Scroll.
He has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Shah son of Sujah Ahmad resident of Dangerpora Sopore who according to police was involved in case FIR NO …04/2024 PS Tarzoo u/s 8/21,22,29 NDPS act.
The explosion was said to be of a cooking gas cylinder while further investigation is going on.
