Srinagar- Former Principal Govt Higher Secondary School, Soura, Srinagar, Mrs Nargis Massarat, widow of late Munshi Nisar Ali passed away here on Saturday. She is survived by her sons Dr Sarfaraz Hussain, Er Abrar Hussain and Ashfaq Hussain besides a daughter.
Large number of people attended her Nimaze Jinaza at HMT, Srinagar and she was later laid to rest beside her late husband at Baba Mazar Srinagar. Congregational Fateha will be observed at her final resting place at 6.30 AM on Monday while a day long condolence service will continue at Munshi family residence at Rose Avenue, HMT, Srinagar, family sources said.
Meanwhile a stream of visitors visited HMT to pay condolences to the bereaved.
Various social and political bodies have extended condolences to the bereaved family especially Munshi Abrar Hussain, former Executive Engineer PDD and Chairman Idara Falah-e-Aam Trust.
Ittehadul Muslimeen, Anjuman-e-Sharie Shiayan of Aga Syed Hadi, Idara Falah-e-Aam and Apni Party in their respective statements have offered condolences to the bereaved family. Apni Party president Syed Altaf Bukhari has also extended condolences to Munshi Abrar’s brother in law Maulana Masroor Ansari.
