Srinagar- Jammu & Kashmir RTI Movement in association with Mech Alfa Kralpora Chadoora organized a picnic for senior citizens and other persons from economically weaker sections of society. Around 40 senior citizens and other couples from economically weaker sections of society mostly hailing from Chadoora Budgam were taken for a day trip to Yusmarg.
This programme was organized by the volunteers of RTI Movement in association with Mech Alfa Kralpora. “ The aim of this trip was to make sure that senior citizens and other weaker sections of society are taken out for an outing as they hardly get a chance to visit such places due to obvious reasons. I am grateful to CEO of Mech Alfa and Al Fallah Machinery group Kralpora Mr Shahbaz for sponsoring this trip “ said Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat Chairman RTI Movement
“ It was a great experience to host this event as we always support such kinds of work. We have been watching the work of the RTI Movement group and being a commercial organization it is also our social obligation to handhold economically weaker sections of society . Instead of giving paid advertisements to social media influencers we deemed it fit to sponsor the work of social organizations. This helps them to do good work and it gives us some commercial benefits also “ said “ Mubashir Bashir spokesman of Mech Alfa , Al Fallah Machinery Kralpora
The senior citizens appreciated the progarmme as most of them had visited Yusmarg for the first time in their life. Dr Raja Muzaffar thanked Chief Engineer Irrigation Kashmir Mr Naresh Kumar , Executive Engineer Mr Zaffar Khan, JE Mohammad Shafi and staff of Irrigation Department Yusmarg for their support in providing the local logistic support
