Budgam- Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Budgam, Nazir Ahmad Khan, visited Hariwanin village of Budgam district today to express his deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of a young girl who tragically lost her life in a leopard attack a few days ago.
During his visit, Khan met with the grieving family members and extended his heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire Budgam community. He offered words of solace and support to the bereaved family during this difficult time.
Expressing concern over the incident, Khan urged the concerned authorities, including the administration and the wildlife department, to step up surveillance measures in the area. He emphasized the importance of taking proactive steps to prevent such tragic incidents from occurring in the future.
Khan highlighted the need for increased monitoring and strategic measures to mitigate the risk of human-wildlife conflicts in the region. He stressed the importance of community awareness programs and urged local residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
Khan reiterated the commitment of the District Development Council (DDC) Budgam to work closely with the relevant authorities to address issues related to wildlife conservation and human-wildlife conflict management in the district.
