JAMMU– Hosts J&K Police crashed out of the 72nd All India Police Hockey Championship after a 5-1 loss to CISF in the quarterfinals on Monday at KK Haiku Stadium here.
For CISF, Yograj Singh score the 1st and 3rd, while the 2nd goal was scored by Dheeraj Vats. The 4th & 5th goal was scored by Vishal Jit Singh.
The player of the match was awarded to Yograj Singh for his brilliant performance.
The chief guest on the occasion was Vijay Kumar – IPS ADGP Armed and Law & Order, J&K.
In the second quarterfinal, BSF beat Uttar Pradesh Police 2-1. The third quarterfinal tie saw CRPF emerge victorious over ITBP in a penalty shootout. In the final quarterfinal match, Punjab Police thrashed West Bengal Police 10-0 to book their place in the semifinals.
