SRINAGAR- The J&K Ice Skating and Ice Hockey teams left for Leh, Ladakh on Wednesday to compete at the 4th Khelo India Winter Games.
J&K Ice Skating team comprises of Wafa Tariq, Shifa Tariq, Nashra Reyaz, Raquib, Ali Dar, Sheikh Umer Iqbal, Saleem Ashraf Malik and Dabeer Wani.
The mega sporting events in Leh will take place at the Ice Hockey Rink at NDS Ground, the Ice Rink at Gophugs and the Ice Rink at Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre.
Advisor to Ladakh LG, Pawan Kotwal, visited various locations hosting the 4th edition of the Khelo India Winter Games 2024 on Wednesday. Kotwal was keen on ensuring that the infrastructure, facilities and arrangements met the highest standards, aligning with the vision of promoting sports and healthy competition.
Leh will host the first part of the games from February 2 to 6, with competitions in Ice Hockey and Speed Skating.
The second leg of the 2024 Winter Games will be played in Gulmarg from February 21-25 and witness competitions in Ski Mountaineering, Alpine Skiing, Snowboarding and Nordic ski.
