SRINAGAR– The Khelo India Winter Games 2024, set to be held in Gulmarg and Leh, received its official logo and mascot on Tuesday.
Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha and Lieutenant Governor Ladakh B.D. Mishra (Retd) launched the competition’s logo and mascot in a video ceremony from Jammu and Leh, respectively.
LG Sinha congratulated the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and extended his best wishes to the players, officials and members of organizing committees.
He also observed that the mascot for Winter Games, Snow Leopard, is the symbol of Himalaya’s natural heritage and reflects the commitment of the government towards the protection and preservation of wildlife.
In the 4th edition of the Winter Games, snow skating, ice hockey and curling will be held in Leh, Ladakh, while other sports events will be held at Gulmarg.
