SRINAGAR- Two sub-junior Taekwondo athletes from Shopian have been selected to compete in the upcoming national championships in various categories.
Anika Aijaz (girls under-24 kg) and Nahil Farooq (boys under-25 kg) were selected for the 37th National Sub Junior Kyorugi Taekwondo Championship and 12th National Sub Junior Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2023-24, scheduled to be held from February 2 to 4, 2024 at Balbir Juneja Indoor Stadium in Chhattisgarh. Both athletes train at the Khelo India Taekwondo Centre Shopian.
Both players are regular trainees of the Taekwondo Centre in Shopian and were trained by coach Aquib Gulzar.
