SRINAGAR- In exciting news for Kashmir Football, three synthetic turf football fields will be constructed in three districts of Kashmir Valley.
The J&K Football Federation announced Friday that three commissioned fields will come up in Srinagar, Baramulla and Shopian. The FA said in a statement that the move came to fruition after the government issued a “groundbreaking order” and will “revolutionize football infrastructure and foster talent across the region”.
The JKFA also expressed its thanks to Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council, for playing a “pivotal role in securing this monumental development.” The FA also thanked J&K LG Manoj Sinha for his support.
The JKFA has also proposed the allocation of Synthetic Turf Football Fields in Rajouri and Kathua.
In absence of an elected body, the JKFA is run by a committee, which includes Wasim Aslam (Ex-Chairman/Chief Coordinator), Nazir Ahmad Andrabi (Chairman), B.A Shah (Hony General Secretary), Bashir Malik (President DFA Srinagar), Sajid Dar (International Coach & Coach Educator) and Ishfaq Ahmad (AFC Pro Coach/Ex-International).
