SRINAGAR- The J&K senior men’s cricket was bowled out for a paltry 100 runs against Himachal Pradesh in the 2024 Ranji Trophy opener on Friday at JKCA Hostel Ground in Jammu.
All-rounder Abid Mushatq top-scored for the team, with 28 (28). For Himachal Pradesh, Vaibav Arora took 4 wickets, as the J&K batters failed to get going at home turf, before being bundled out in 35.3 overs.
In reply, Himachal Pradesh were 47 for no loss in 9 overs at the end of Day 1. They trail J&K by 53 runs, as Ekant Sen 27* (34) leads the charge for his team.
J&K has three IPL players in the team, Sunrisers Hyderabad duo Umran Malik and Abdul Samad, and Rajasthan Royals’ Abid Mushtaq.
